Really! Did anyone imagine sound energy being used to air condition your rooms? No, right! But, yes it is being made possible by a venture known as 'Sound Energy'. The venture is using sound energy to produce heat. This heat is eventually converted into cold by thermoacoustic technology. The product named 'THEAC-25' is manufactured. Feeding heat input into one side of the THEAC-25 results into 25 kW cold output at the other side, enabling the production of cold air or cold water. The cold output of the THEAC-25 can reach temperatures as low as -25°C.
This device can change the future of air conditioning and refrigeration. As it is ultimately environment friendly. It is silent, chemical free, reduces gas consumption and clean and sustainable technology. It utilises waste heat from plants and is cheap as compared to other methods. The THEAC-25 operates without any mechanical moving parts, precious metals or materials. It is maintenance free, has an estimated service life up to 30 years.
